Building owners and property managers are learning that implementing a Triacta submetering system is one of the fastest ways to control rising energy costs and increase property profitability.
Triacta makes it easy for property owners and managers to individually bill residents for the energy they use. Triacta meters are Measurement Canada approved, and independently verified to ANSI C12.20 Class 0.5.
With two decades of experience and over 250,000 meter points installed, we know what it takes to implement a successful residential metering system for billing and energy management — let us help you.
All electricity meters used for billing purposes in Canada must meet strict requirements related to accuracy and reliability. Measurement Canada (with accredited agencies) is responsible for the approval, verification, inspection and sealing of the measurement components of all electricity meters.

Triacta PowerHawk meters are Measurement Canada approved and were the first to received an unconditional 10-year seal approval for multi-circuit submeters — which provides considerable cost savings for metering providers by allowing them to defer re-verification of installed meters beyond the standard 6 year approval period.
Triacta's Notice of Approval by Measurement Canada can be found here.
Fairly allocate utility consumption to tenants and hold them accountable for resource usage
Reduce overall energy consumption by measuring electricity use and gaining visibility into water, gas, and thermal utility consumption
Work with 3rd party billing partners or generate your own invoices automatically
Among the most accurate and reliable in the world, Triacta meters are California Title 4 certified, NYPSC listed, Measurement Canada and Maryland PSC approved, and independently verified to ANSI C12.20 Class 0.5
Triacta meters use open protocols (including building automation protocols) to ensure owners and property managers are not “locked in” to a single vendor. The open system provides the flexibility needed in an ever evolving smart grid

The free and unobstructed flow of building services information to all stakeholders, systems, and applications should be the goal of any energy management or billing system — so the right information gets to the right place, at the right time.
Triacta’s Cloud is our software as a service offering that can distribute information to other cloud-based applications. Our push only reporting is fire-wall friendly, avoiding IT department complications. With push, all communications are initiated by the meter from within the firewall.
When you purchase a Triacta meter you have invested in a device that will last for many years to come. And as a central component in your building's infrastructure, you don't want to have to remove your meters down the line — cutting building power and causing tenant frustration and down time.
In sealed metering applications, the Triacta GATEWAY can be easily (and safely) removed for meter re-verification, with no interruption in building service.
We know that designing, installing, and provisioning meters can be complicated, and not your primary business.
That's why we offer Triacta Metering as a Service — a simple and cost-effective offering that takes care of all aspect of your building resource metering (electricity, water, thermal and gas).
Commercial grade metering, revenue grade metering, and pulse data collection can all be combined in one box — simplifying installation, with the potential to save significant money on metering equipment and labour costs.
Property Managers count on Triacta meters in some of the most iconic properties in the world. Here are just a few:
"Triacta has accomplished the difficult and interesting trick of being an exceptional traditional meter that can work with legacy building automation systems, while also forming the foundation of a building-services platform."
We work with corporations, property managers , and solution providers all over the world. Here's a sample *
The need for accurate, reliable electricity usage information in an energy management age is well documented. What is less understood is the key role your electrical meter plays in your overall building data information plan, and how choosing the wrong meter can cost you money and time — lots of it.
If you are going to bill tenants or participate in government incentive programs, you need to choose a metering platform that is robust and accurate enough to handle the job.
With today’s open communication protocols, there’s no reason that property managers and building owners shouldn’t be able to take full advantage of as many web services as they like — without restriction or having to choose a single provider. It’s your data after all.
